After Nick Taylor’s win at the Canadian Open, Jim Nantz of CBS Sports called it “one of the greatest moments in Canadian sports history.” The famed sportscaster couldn’t be more right. After all, the sheer magnitude of the victory was palpable from the way the likes of Mike Weir, Corey Conners, and more charged to the greens to celebrate with their Canadian compatriot following his win!

However, another player who deserves to be lauded for his heroics is runner-up Tommy Fleetwood. Despite missing out on the elusive PGA Tour win by mere inches, the 32-year-old seems to harbor no hard feelings over his loss.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Fleetwood wrote, “Thank you Canada for an amazing atmosphere.” He even hailed Taylor for his win in the tweet. “Congrats @ntaylorgolf59, what an unbelievable 3 days of golf you’ve just played and what a moment for you and your country,” wrote the English golfer.
