In the golf world, just being an athlete isn’t enough for most. Majority of golfers want to involve themselves in many more aspects of the game than just playing. Hence, many pros move on to doing things like developing and designing golf courses. Justin Thomas has now joined that cohort. The golf pro is working with none other than golf legend Jack Nicklaus, to design his first course.

Thomas turned pro in 2013 and has since won 15 times on the Tour. JT is now working with Jack Nicklaus to design his first golf course. The 29-year-old also certainly hopes to learn a thing or two from Nicklaus.

Nicklaus was just as excited as Thomas about the partnership. He stated, “I’m thrilled that Justin has decided to take on this rewarding challenge.” At the groundbreaking, the ex-pro golfer mentioned that his design work was life-changing. He claimed that being a golfer had helped shape his design, which in turn had helped shape his view as a player.

Nicklaus hoped that it would do the same for Thomas and help him grow his career. He said, “I’m confident this venture will serve him well, both on and off the course.” JT undoubtedly hoped for the same, especially with Nicklaus there to guide him.
