While they were in the locker room, Wood asked about the feeling of their children after meeting a living legend. The answer from his then 10-year-old daughter left the 82 times PGA winner speechless. He said, “Isn’t it neat to be a living legend?” And Sam replied, “Yeah, we live with one.” Woods recalls that moment later in December and said it was a surreal moment for him that he will never forget.

The golfer never expected his young kids understood his golf. Until that day, he believed that his kids had a perception of their father being a YouTube golfer and nothing more. However, those words from Sam made Woods feel like he had achieved a lot in his life because even his young kids were aware of his game and the hardships that came with it.

Why did Tiger Woods’ daughter make him emotional in March 2022?

This year, the Golf Hall of Fame induction was an emotional event for all of Woods’ fans, including himself. Becoming a Hall of Famer was not the reason for his tears, but her 15-year-old daughter’s words made him cry. 

She said how strong Woods was, as no one knew if he would ever be able to return to his feet after the near-fatal accident. He would have lost his legs, and it would have been painful to see him that way. However, he was standing there on his own feet and deserved to be a Hall of Famer. “This is why you deserve this because you’re a fighter,” said Sam.
