Mickelson further added, “Players here, when they sign up, we receive a ton of money, and we give up our schedule and we commit to wherever they hold the events we’re going to go and we’re going to be there, and then they have the ability to move professional golf throughout the world. I think that’s a really big thing as we try to grow the game of golf throughout the world.”
Though, unclear about LIV Golf’s impact on the US audience, Mickelson believes that the lucrative Tour has made an impact globally. The 52-year-old also considers that the Saudi-backed Tour can influence the young generation of golf fans.
Mickelson ended by saying how the team aspect of LIV Golf has been a great initiative. Each player is identified as a team player rather than an individual, which can be very beneficial for the lucrative Tour.
