Megan Beirnes was a local hero

The pandemic had a huge impact on Beirnes’s life, as she had been an active nurse during the COVID outbreak. Around this time, she was working at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre in Canada. However, she did not only get the support of her then-boyfriend, Pendrith. The golfer proposed to her around COVID time in 2020, and a year later they got married on October 17th, 2021. The couple then moved to the USA. 

Megan now specializes in blood and blood diseases. She is currently employed as a registered nurse in the hematology and stem cell transplant departments at Hamilton General Hospital in Ontario. Part of her job is also to administer chemotherapy. She works four 12-hour shifts in a row (two-day shifts followed by two overnight shifts) before she gets five days off. In her line of work, Mrs. Pendrith is always alert for any emergency calls.

Megan Beirnes’s career seems scary to her husband.

During one of his PGA Tour interviews, Taylor Pendrith claimed that he thinks his girlfriend does a rather scary job by keeping her life at stake and attending to COVID-19 patients. He said, “It’s pretty scary, her being a nurse.”

However, he also added how he is not only impressed with his partner but with all the nurses around the world who were working so hard, especially during the pandemic. Taylor Pendrith stated, “But all the nurses in the country and in the U.S. and all over the world are doing a great job, and they’re the ones who are battling this firsthand, and it’s a scary time for everybody.”
