Golf is a very demanding sport, mentally as well as physically. And for those who have never played the sport, it is easy to underestimate the requirements; it is assuredly not true. Get used to it.” And the truth of this statement is irrefutable. With around 45 events on the PGA Tour, with more than 120 players competing in each over a course of 4 days, you can’t always win. More so, even the best of the best golfers count it a successful year with two or three wins out of the lot.

Brooks chose golf at a very young age. However, on multiple occasions, the current 31-year-old has admitted that he regrets the choices he made in his formative years. What turned into a very controversial statement at the time, he once expressed, “If I could do it over again, I’d play baseball—100 percent, no doubt… To be honest, I’m not a big golf nerd… golf is kind of boring, not much action. I come from a baseball family, and it’s in my blood.”
