John Daly might not be counted in the elite list of the game’s greatest players. However, the American star has clearly succeeded in positioning himself as one of the most loved players in the business. Over the years, he has been one of the most looked-after players in tournaments. However, going back in time, the fan’s favorite once suffered an unfortunate incident on the golf course.

In 2015, the former PGA and Open Championship winner headed to Canton, Mississippi to play a local golf tournament. Surrounded by fans, the now 56-year-old suddenly suffered a fall while walking with a fellow golfer who asserted that Daly had ‘no pulse’. Falling short of breath, he was rushed to a medical center nearby. While fans hoped for his speedy recovery, they were overjoyed to see Daly back on the golf course the very next day.

The medical examination opened doors for various possible reasons behind the lung collapse. His then-agent asserted that Daly was struggling with a rib injury dating back to 2007. Something, which potentially contributed to the incident.
