In the video, Mickelson talks about a thief, a stolen bike, and an assault, all happening during a PGA event. It’s a story from the 1990 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro at Poppy Hills Golf Course, where Mickelson was about to have a tee shot at par 3.
Assault during a PGA event?
With a fairly less crowd watching him, Lefty noticed a man riding a bike through the gallery ropes. He says in the video, “One of the guys in the gallery takes his arm, and as he comes close to him, goes ‘Whack!’ and knocks him on his back.”
Shocked by the incident, Mickelson looked around at his pals to understand what was happening. However, what followed after shocked him even more.
