The golf industry has gone through a lot more recently than it ever has before. The PGA Tour has opted to join it after a year of conflict with its main foe. These turbulent rides have been very tiring for golfers, especially PGA Tour golfers, who were not even aware of the merger. And right now, we learn something new about the merger every day.
In any community where there is a lot going on, people come up with creative explanations for what is taking place. Someone eventually combined the worlds of golf and music. Let’s find out!

Is the golf world just like a Taylor Swift song?
Claire Rogers recently drew interesting parallels between the titles of Taylor Swift songs and everything that happened in the world of golf during the previous two years. She posted her analogy on her official Twitter account.

First, she used Taylor Swift’s song title ‘Stay Stay Stay’ to describe how PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, urged players to stick with their leagues. Then ‘I did something bad’ refers to those players who left their leagues and joined LIV Golf. The newly developed rivalry between LIV Golf and the long-standing leagues was characteristic of ‘Bad blood.’ Golfers’ quick suspension by their former leagues was described by ‘We are never ever getting back together.’
The PGA Tour was sued by LIV golfers, and the ‘Great War’ described the legal disputes between the two Tours. Rory McIlroy rejected the $500 million offered by LIV Golf to stay with the PGA Tour and was dubbed ‘The way I loved you.’ And now the most unforeseen event in golf history has occurred. The PGA Tour declared that it would shortly combine with LIV Golf in a new $3 billion deal after an year of animosity. She chose ‘Invisible String’ for this.
The PGA Tour players, who had already turned down millions of dollars from LIV Golf, were not even informed of the merger. PGA Tour players found out about the merger through social media, not direct communication. Swift’s ‘You’re not sorry’ was most appropriate for this.
Finally, despite the fact that Monahan promised them rewards for their dedication, the PGA Tour players’ current trust difficulties with their league have turned him into an ‘Anti-hero.’
Fans react to the uncanny analogy
