How did Angel Cabrera had realization in prison?

The golfer claimed immense regret for his actions, which led him to prison. The charges against him were domestic violence, and the victims were his ex-partners. The golfer later confessed, “I refused to listen to anyone and did what I wanted, how I wanted and when I wanted.” He further added, “That was wrong. I ask Micaela for forgiveness. I ask Celia for forgiveness. They had the bad luck of being with me when I was at my worst. I wasn’t the devil, but I did bad things.”

According to Yoelpvogue, Cabrera was left alone in his cell once his cellmate was released. Around this time, the two-time Major Champion started reflecting on his passion, golf. He was reported to have been reading old golf magazines in his cell for the last six months of his incarceration. He did not miss out on articles about himself either. Which might have made him more aware of his previous reputation and how his actions turned things around a great deal. They also noted, “Despite the difficulties, Cabrera was occasionally able to go outside to a soccer field at the prison, where he would take swings with a stick or a broom handle, providing a brief break from his isolation.”
