Who is Celine Borge?
On August 5, 1998, the Borge family living in Tonsberg, Norway, had a daughter, Celine. They might have encouraged her to pursue golf at a very young age because she was already a champion in her teens. At 16, Borge won the Norwegian Junior Championship. She also played in and won the 2016 Irish Girls U18 Open Stroke Play Championship. The 27-year-old was certainly a star in the making from a very young age.
Her Norwegian roots gave her access to the Ladies European Tour soon after she turned pro in 2018. In her very first season, Borge played in 8 tournaments on the European Tour. Her best finishes were a couple of T16s in the Women’s NSW Open in Australia and the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco in 2018. That record still stands today, as she hasn’t made that many LET appearances since. In 2019, Celine joined the Epson Tour while still competing in a few events in Europe. But she mostly committed herself to the American competition from next season on.

It took Borge 4 years to receive her LPGA Tour card. By 2023, with a membership in her hand, she had already gained enough experience to prove to be a serious challenge in a major. She finished T3 in The Amundi Evian Championship while another Celine (Boutier) won the event by an emphatic 6 strokes. A year later, Borge finished T6 in the FM Championship and T7 in the Dana Open.
This year hasn’t been as favorable for her as she has yet to finish better than T15. However, after the two rounds in the FM Championship 2025, it seems that Borge might be heading for another top-10 finish, maybe even her first LPGA Tour win. While that would certainly be a dream come true for her, she had already achieved another huge career goal last year in Paris. Borge proudly represented Norway in the Paris Olympics 2025. Her T29 finish didn’t get her any medals, but she expressed how honored she was to represent her home country.

It wasn’t only golf that she enjoyed during her time in Paris. Her Instagram shows that Celine Borge also had a great trip to France, even if she couldn’t win a medal. It might be because of the company she had along with her during the trip.

Borge & gang take over the world
Through golf, Celine Borge has been able to make some meaningful relationships over the years. One of them is with fellow professional golfer Madelene Stavnar. Stavnar and Borge are childhood friends who have played the sport together since they were kids. During her trip to Paris, Celine was also accompanied by Madelene as she too represented Norway in the 2025 Summer Olympics. Stavnar finished T47 after four rounds, but that didn’t affect their trip together as they were all smiles in their pictures on Borge’s Instagram.
The duo also had another pro golfer tagging along with them in the past. They were also accompanied by Karoline Lund, who has made her name in multiple sports over the years. Apart from golf, Lund has been a professional freestyle skier, ski racer, and handball player. However, Celine Borge is completely dedicated to golf. So much so that 99% of her Instagram posts are related to her golf adventures. Hopefully, her dedication to the sport will reward her with many LPGA Tour championships in the near future. Until then, fans can enjoy seeing her surprise her peers on the field as she looks for her first win.
