Although no exact timing has been mentioned, LPGA Tour stated the time as a ‘few months’. They have also revealed how Swede not only got to enjoy his family’s support on the greens but also showed her sibling what are things like from inside the course since the families mostly cheer from outside of the ropes.

According to LPGA, Grant has been feeling extremely motivated mentally to have her brother by her side. She even said, “It’s nice to have him here. It’s nice to kind of show him the place that I’ve been to before.” The defending champion of the Dana Open then again talked about what it truly feels like to have a family member on the bag. She confessed, “Obviously, it’s nice to have someone with whom you can chat about different things rather than just having yourself to talk to or just your own thoughts about golf.”

Hence, it is not just golf-related topics that Linn and his brother talk about on the golf course. To keep his sister’s mind away from stress, the siblings also talk about what they are going to do when they go back home the next week. This helps them have something to look forward to. Given the Olympics week coming soon after this, the female golfer surely needs some rest!

But has Jonathan ever played golf like his sister? Or is the Swede only carrying his sister’s bag on the course?

Golf in the Grant family

If you thought it was only Linn Grant who played golf from her family, you are wrong. Linn Grant’s father, John Grant, has played on the Swedish team before and has also won seven times in his career. It was he who influenced all of his children to try their luck at golf. All his children, including Amanda, Linn, and her older brother Jonathan.

Shocking as it is, Linn Grant was a late bloomer. It was actually Amanda, her elder sister, who was a better player early on. When it comes to Jonathan, his father was extremely proud of his skills when he was in his late teenage years.

John Grant once revealed, “Jonathan was a really talented golfer at ages 16 and 17.” Then he further reflected, “But her older sister, Amanda, was the most talented. Sometimes you put a golf club in someone’s hands and you just see that they know how to hold it and swing it. Amanda was one of my three who had the most talent. But she hated golf. She doesn’t play at all.”
