At the age of 17, Yealimi Noh turned her career around after a series of splendid junior-level performances. She won the 2018 Girls’ Junior PGA Championship, the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, and the 2019 Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship consecutively, indicating that she had reached her peak at that level. This year, the 24-year-old had a lot to celebrate. She kicked off the season by winning the first LPGA Tour title of her career, the 2025 Founders Cup. That’s one big career achievement that she can tick off her checklist. And only a few months ago, she also ticked off a major life goal from it. Back on July 20, 2025, Noh announced her engagement to her partner, Jackson Suh. Who is this mystery man? Has the American pro ever introduced her to her fans?

The answer is no. As vibrant as her life is, it seems that Noh is a very private person when it comes to her personal life. She hasn’t shared much about Suh on her social media and kept their relationship under wraps from the golf community. However, now that he is revealed, we know that Jackson is also a private person. But he still has quite a lot of accomplishments in life that have put the spotlight on him over the years.

One thing that is revealed is that he completed his education at Issaquah High School and the University of California. That’s where he received his Business Administration degree from. Being the top-50-ranked junior player, Suh also got the opportunity to represent the California Golden Bears college tennis team during his time there. Although he didn’t achieve many accolades, the Issaquah-born still represented the team a few times in 2017 and 2018. Overall, he had three wins and one loss to his name.

Moving on from his time in the UC, Suh joined a career in Business Development. He worked in a number of reputed companies, like the PGA Tour sponsor, Truist. However, Yealimi Noh’s fiancé received his biggest break in 2021 when he joined Microsoft as a Digital Specialist of Azure. He has since been promoted twice. In October 2022, he took up the position of Enterprise Digital Specialist, focusing on Security & Compliance. Then, in November 2024, Suh was promoted to a Business Development Manager role specializing in High-Tech Partnerships.

It’s evident that Jackson Suh is completely career-focused and determined to succeed when given the right opportunity. And he is making the most of it at Microsoft, having worked there for over four years now. But there was a time when he wanted to be a sports star, just like his partner. And he clearly expressed the same during one of his interactions with the media.

Was Yealimi Noh’s fiancé, Jackson Suh, also on the verge of becoming an athlete?

Back in 2015, when he was dominating the junior tennis scene, Jackson Suh was regarded as one of the best stars in the country. And he was pursuing big dreams to win a state championship. As per an article on The Seattle Times, Suh had been extremely passionate about tennis since he was only 8 years old. Playing at the Columbia Basin Racquet Club, he told the reporter, “I am going to win. That’s what I try to do. Those are my expectations. I’ve got that competitive gene.”

Very Tiger Woods-esque response, we would say. Either way, his coach, Gary Kiyonaga, had faith and confidence in him. “He’s wise enough in his young age to know, ‘anybody, any time.’ He doesn’t take anything for granted,” the coach said, suggesting that Suh won’t make such claims unless he knew the position he was in. Now 26, Suh doesn’t play the sport professionally anymore. But he undoubtedly left a mark on it when he was pursuing it as a junior player. Then again, would Jackson Suh have met Yealimi Noh if he had taken that path in life? Guess we will never know.
