Bryson DeChambeau has only one year left on his LIV Golf contract. For the past few months, rumors about him wanting to quit LIV Golf and return to the PGA Tour have been buzzing all around. With all due respect, he made his feelings clear for LIV. “I’m very excited about the future of LIV Golf. I’m very excited to be the captain of the Crushers and continue our legacy that we’re starting to create. That’s my goal is to create this lasting legacy where we impact millions and millions of golfers’ lives around the world. That should tell you everything you should know,” Bryson said in Hong Kong. Despite the reassurance, talks about renewing his terms with the Saudi-based promotion must have begun. After all, “DeChambeau is LIV Golf’s most important asset,” as Rex Hoggard claimed in a YouTube podcast. Bryson not only brings attention to LIV but is also helping the league become better.

54 Golf | LIV’s New Media just tweeted a video of DeChambeau practicing some trick shots in an indoor environment. The caption revealed that LIV’s chief marketing officer, Adam Harter, told FOS that future editions of The Duels will rotate and be hosted on different content creator channels. Harter went on to discuss Bryson DeChambeau’s role in the events, revealing that they talk to Bryson about YouTube daily. He shared that a lot of the changes that we made to the format and the approach were informed by consulting with Bryson. “We really respect his opinion and the success he’s had in the space, so he helps guide us and provide input,” Harter added. Clearly, LIV Golf is relying on DeChambeau’s expertise to plan their content strategy, and it is only fair.

You see, Bryson has certainly mastered the art of YouTube. His channel has been immensely successful thanks to the outstanding content he pushes out consistently. However, it’s worth noting that the 1.94 million subscribers and nearly 319 million views he has gained have come from just 196 videos. Those are outstanding numbers for any content creator. In comparison, LIV Golf has only 390k subscribers and 86 million views from their 2,673 videos. The fact that the Saudi-based promotion is developing a lot more content and getting far less traction just shows how good DeChambeau is at content creation.

Bryson has reassured his stance on LIV, but the fans are not convinced. Also, there is another issue. With a guy like Jon Rahm earning huge paychecks every year, the case of Bryson’s contract becomes extremely critical. While the Spaniard has been outstanding within LIV Golf, DeChambeau is the last player from the league across the ocean who has won a major. Despite Rahm’s consistency, it’s the 2025 LIV Golf Korea champion who is the crowd-pleaser. LIV Golf has a tough decision in their hands: should they pay the professional golfer/content creator more than their Spanish giant?

Interestingly, Bryson DeChambeau’s personal YouTube channel is not the only one finding success due to his influence.

Bryson DeChambeau: The face of LIV Golf

Apart from his personal channel that has been a huge hit in the golf community, Bryson DeChambeau is also involved in another channel that is also doing better than LIV Golf’s YouTube channel. Being the captain of Crushers GC, the videos posted by the team also include DeChambeau regularly. And while they have started pushing their social media initiatives aggressively only recently, they have already garnered great numbers.

What’s your perspective on:

Should LIV Golf prioritize Bryson DeChambeau over Jon Rahm when it comes to contract renewals?

Have an interesting take?

After posting 256 videos, the Crushers GC YouTube channel has gained 80.6 million viewers already. Their subscriber count may be much lower than that of LIV Golf, at 63.5 K. But they are still close to beating the league in terms of viewers. The LIV Golf team that is closest to the Crushers GC is Phil Mickelson‘s HyFlyers GC. They have managed 324K subscribers and 9.35 million views from the 18 videos they have pushed out. Most of those views have come from videos where Mickelson is collaborating with content creators like Grant Horvat and Wesley Bryan.

No wonder LIV Golf has consulted with Bryson DeChambeau to structure their YouTube content creation strategy.
