All seemed to be going well for the athletes. However, a shocking accident at the SoFi arena in Florida saw Serena Williams and her husband along with partner Michelle Wie West postpone the plans for their team at the much-anticipated TGL. Nevertheless, the athletic duo did not stop from getting back up, dusting themselves off, and moving forward.

The unfortunate accident led to the golfer deciding to work on another collaboration, but this time, it was with her older sister, Venus Williams. And now, in a surprise of sorts, the 34-year-old decided to open the new chapter in grand fashion as she took to her social media handle to announce the same, stopping many in their tracks!

The LPGA icon had played her last professional match earlier this year at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open. However, her withdrawal from the sport didn’t stop the woman golfer from going all out in sponsoring the Los Angeles-based golf team with the tennis star followed by yet another team-up for a limited edition smoothie blend with Venus Williams.

A story was uploaded to West’s Instagram to reveal the new product. The update shares a video that was initially posted on the official handle of the brand. Moreover, it showcases the 1X major champ disclosing the arrival of her “limited edition” collab with Happy Viking Superfood, a reinvented breakfast by the older tennis star.

The 5X LPGA Tour winner released the same all the while mentioning how “keeping her family happy and healthy is her number one goal.” Adding on, she announced the launching of her new flavor, “Tropical Smoothie,” as the athlete urged the viewers to try out the same whilst pointing out the pros of the blend.

One can hope that this collaboration would see a much better future as opposed to the delayed one that the golfer experienced with Serena Williams. Regardless, it couldn’t be helped owing to the unfortunate nature of the accident.

However, the roof of the TGL venue collapsing led to the sponsors delaying its launch to 2025 all the while expressing their support for the fans and followers alike.

On the 15th of November, the SoFi center’s roof experienced a collapse overnight as a result of a deflation due to a power outage. This led to the air-supported dome section of the venue getting damaged and subsequently leading to falling in. Although none had been harmed during the same, the new tech-infused league, which was ready to kick off on January 9, 2024, saw itself being delayed.
