Collin Morikawa’s Looper JJ Jakovac Reveals the ‘Best Experience’ of His Caddying Life
The Ryder Cup 2020 was a historic win for the American side. They dominated throughout the tournament, securing a 19-9 win over the Europeans. Deservingly so, the home crowd gave them a resounding reception. Notably, not just fans, but even Collin Morikawa’s caddie is on the top of the world.
Of course, everyone who was a part of the team will be taking home an experience that will last a lifetime. This includes Collin Morikawa’s caddie J.J. Jakovac, who was beyond impressed with the Ryder Cup win.

Morikawa had a good time at the Ryder Cup, helping Team USA clinch their win by beating Viktor Hovland. This was one of the most dominant wins in Ryder Cup history, and team USA’s second win in three events.

“Hello, JJ Jakovac here. Caddie for Collin Morikawa. It is early morning on Wednesday, just getting settled back in at home after the Ryder Cup win. What a week,” Jakovac started. “Such an honor to be a part of that team with just everybody – the captains, the players, the caddies. It was the best experience of my caddying life, that’s for sure.”
Jakovac mentioned Day 2’s afternoon fourball session as their big moment, which took place with Dustin Johnson in tow. In the end, he added that everyone got the all-time record in points they wanted.

Who was Jakovac happy to meet?
Additionally, the caddie spoke about meeting and watching his hero – Golden State Warriors’ icon Stephen Curry. As per Jakovac, getting to meet Curry and talking to him was pretty cool. Apparently, the Warriors icon is a golf fan and was an eager spectator at the Whistling Straits.
This was also Jakovac’s first Ryder Cup appearance, making the US win even more special for Morikawa. The two-time major champion scored 3.5 points, with an overall score of 3-0-1.
