It has been months since the PGA Tour and LIV Golf merger was brought to light. While many entities have been featured in the center of this rather abrupt coalition, Tiger Woods, undoubtedly, was the highlight of many statements. Alas! This progress-oriented step isn’t the only reason the 15-time major winner has made the headlines recently. His case with his ex-wife has once again turned several heads. However, amidst all this, some solace met the golf legend in the form of the glamorous and anticipated Tiger Woods-led TGL.

The innovative golf initiative has many prominent names attached to it, including Serena Williams, Arthur M. Blank, and more. Apart from these big names, the technology-based setup also welcomes the team environment, which makes it a highly anticipated venture. While these comforting aspects appear to be a source of relief for Tiger Woods in recent uncertain times, there is another American soccer star who has also joined hands in lending support!

It was through her recent Instagram post that Alex Morgan, a member of the United States Women’s National Soccer Team, announced her new role on the inaugural team of the TGL. She will be involved with the Los Angeles Golf Club as an investor alongside former LPGA star Michelle Wie West.

Expressing her enthusiasm for taking up the new position, the soccer star mentioned how glad she is to be a part of this team. Her caption to the post included an explanation of the integral spirit of the club, stating, “making golf our own, for everyone, in bringing all of So Cal together.”

Referring to South California and how excited she is about the future of golf through such an initiative, the sports star did not forget to mention her fellow important personalities associated with the team. Morgan tagged the tennis legend Serena Williams, her sister Venus Williams, and her husband Alexis Ohanian, who were announced as the main leaders behind the organization, in her post too.

Along with them, the soccer great also made sure to tag the limited partners of the team, the Antetokounmpo brothers. All three of them, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Giannis Ugo Antetokounmpo, and Alex Emeka Antetokounmpo, grabbed a spot of mention by the athlete under her post of snippets of herself wearing the merchandise, a hoodie, of the LA Golf Club.

Alongside Morgan, Tiger Woods’ TGL sees another probably $50 billion partener

The addition of famous individuals like Williams and Morgan sure boosts the TGL format’s authenticity; however, there is one more factor that might help raise this bar even more. This update features the $50 billion broadcasting giant, ESPN. Although not confirmed, the company is in talks about coverage for the big league.

Per numerous reports, the coalition is likely to add sustainability to the TGL. If applied, this deal will assign broadcasting rights to the billion-dollar giants which will help enhance the game’s viewership.

Apart from this, the other wealthy investors of the game also script the new league’s credibility but only time will tell how well-executed the techno-based initiative will prove to be.
