18-year-old tennis sensation Emma Raducanu has taken the world by storm by reaching the finals of the US Open 2021. She beat Maria Sakkari in the semi-finals to set up a highly anticipated final against fellow teenager Leylah Fernandez.

In a great run at her maiden US Open, she is yet to lose a single set to an opponent. With her stunning run, she has broken several records in the world of tennis. Raducanu has become the first British woman to reach a Grand Slam final since 1968. Along with being the youngest grand slam finalist since 2004, she is also the first qualifier in the history of tennis to reach the finals of a grand slam.

That is some feat for the youngster who rose to prominence in 2021!

And did you know that she also plays golf? Yes! In a post on Instagram, she posted several pictures of herself in a golf driving range. She even showed the world her amazing swing, which she posted in slow-motion.

What does Emma Raducanu have to say to the world?

In a post-match interview, she said, “Honestly, the time here in New York has gone so fast. I’ve just been taking care of each day, and before you know three weeks later, I’m in the final and I can’t actually believe it.”

An emotional Raducanu said, “I’m so, so happy to come through.” When asked if there was any pressure on her, she jokingly said, “I’m a qualifier, so there’s no pressure on me!”

The teenager, who has already confirmed herself a sum of $1,250,000, is set to play Fernandez in the finals later tonight. The Arthur Ashe stadium has witnessed history over the last couple of weeks, and tonight is going to be the climax. Either way, this match will go down in history.
