Simone Biles’ gown had to be carried by six men

After her recent appearance at the VMAs, Biles made her debut on the red carpet of the 2021 Met Gala.

Her dress weighed around 88 pounds as six grown men carried the train of the gown. The dress consisted of a black bodysuit with star details, and a silver train. The design of the dress is a collaboration between AREA and Athleta. Moreover, the dress seemed perfectly suited for Biles in a design described as “the intersection where performance, strength, and beauty meet.”
