Golf is a calculative game and requires patience. So, naturally, one would assume that professional golfers have a lot of patience. They might lose some of it on the course every now and then, but most times, patience truly is the key! One could also assume that someone suffering from ADHD might have a hard time on the course, but Charley Hull has time and again proven that it is just a misconception. Despite being diagnosed with ADHD and struggling with it, the LPGA Tour pro has managed to achieve quite a lot.

The road has not been an easy one for the golfer. Charley Hull recently talked about both the positives and negatives that are associated with the interplay of her condition with her role as a professional golfer. Hull described herself as “quite an impatient person,” a trait that could lead to several “disasters” in golf. Talking about how being impatient can affect her game, she said, “And just a lot of things, like makes a disaster in golf, isn’t it? Yeah, that’s my problem. That is literally my problem. Because golf has a bit of slow pace sometimes.”

In a conversation with Eddie Hearn on the No Passion, No Point podcast, Hull revealed that her being impatient is not only a bad thing. It could also have some positive effects on her game. “It can affect me in a good way because I have a very obsessive personality. So if I need to work on something for my swing, I get it straightaway, because I just work on it for ages. And I just catch on to things so quickly,” said the LPGA pro. Her recent confession was not the first time she got candid about her struggles, as she always openly talked about her struggles and her coping mechanisms.

The English golfer also opened up about facing some acne-related troubles and has always been honest with her fans. To get a better hold of things and her mental peace, Hull likes to spend some time in the gym. She shared that being mentally strong helps a lot, and being out in nature also does the trick. The 28-year-old is a living inspiration to people suffering from ADHD and is now focusing on other things, such as being a better and fitter version of herself.
