“Having Deep Thoughtful Conversations”: Maria Sharapova Highlights Her Takeaways From the Atypical Year of 2020

The troublesome year of 2020 has finally ended. And now everyone is hoping 2021 brings newfound hope and optimism. Even tennis players wished everybody on the eve of the new year. Maria Sharapova as well narrated the story of her 2020 and hoped for a better 2021.
In a video released by Porsche, Sharapova mentioned a good side of the ill 2020 year. The Russian was able to spend more time with her family and had some joyous moments to remember.
“If there’s one takeaway from this year, it is the moments that I got to spend with my family making dinner, spending time having deep thoughtful conversations, always remember and cherish those moments.”

With Maria Sharapova, Angelique Kerber and Julia Goerges look back at 2020
Further Former World No.1 Angelique Kerber was also in the video spreading a positive outlook to the now-concluded year. She said- “Could be a new passion that you discovered for yourself. May your dreams come through”
Former World No.9 Julia Goerges is also associated with Porsche and thus was also present in the video. She recently retired in 2020, and thus it was a monumental year for her. So she is looking forward to the next phase of her life in 2021.

Along with Goerges, Sharapova also retired in 2020. After a first-round exit at the 2020 Australian Open, Sharapova retired from tennis, ending her long and illustrious career. Thus it makes 2020 an important year for Sharapova as well as tennis.

Sharapova is a five-time Grand Slam champion along with a former World No.1. She is third in the all-time earnings list among female players and has won 36 titles. In December she announced her engagement to British businessman Alexander Gilkes. And in 2021 we could see her getting married.
