Retired American tennis player Andy Roddick made comments about Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka’s aggressive behavior during the Indian Wells. Roddick points out Wawrinka as a “pretty salty dude” & called attention to his tendency.

” I don’t think he (Stan) gets enough credit for the saltiness. He is a pretty salty dude when things are not going his way,” Andy argues in the second minute of the video. Adding that, “It may be situational, but we are focusing on the higher Rune. But Stan, has some time with the back and forth as well”. The comments have generated media attention & renewed discussion about Stan Wawrinka reputation for being combative during matches.

Wawrinka, a three-time Grand Slam champion, has had his fair share of on-court controversies throughout his career. In 2014, he famously told opponent Nick Kyrgios to “stop being a baby” during a match at the Rogers Cup.
