The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of issues for over a year now. Almost every country in the world has had to face a lot of problems, causing the planet to come to a standstill. After all the trouble the pandemic has caused, the world is slowly becoming normal again, thanks to the many available vaccines. However, the vaccination drives have also fallen victim to some problems, and it seems like Xbox wants its user base to make the right call.

The gaming brand recently asked players to possess the right information about the disease and the vaccines for it. The developers recently had a chat with some esteemed doctors to talk about the pandemic and dispel some rumors. This includes the rather weird and hilarious misconception revolving around vaccines and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

Xbox defeating rumors about COVID-19 vaccines

Xbox recently broadcasted a COVID-19 Q&A with some doctors who know a lot about the disease and the vaccine. This included CDC Deputy Director for Infectious Diseases, Dr. Jay Butler, and CDC President and CEO, Dr. Judy Monroe. Both of them had a lot to say about all the fake rumors and misconceptions about the vaccines and the disease.

Xbox provided information about all of it and also asked their major user base to receive vaccinations soon. The tweets showcased that the vaccine is very effective at reducing risk regarding the virus, even against the Delta variant. It also had all the details on how to find the nearest vaccine center, so players can find newfound protection against the deadly virus.

No micro-chips in the vaccines

Along with some necessary information, Xbox also debunked one major myth about the vaccine. Over the past few months, many rumors have popped up about vaccines containing microchips. Many people have even concocted conspiracy theories that link these micro-chips to billionaires like Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. However, the CDC confirmed through the talk recently that the vaccines don’t have any microchips or magnets that alter the DNA of anyone.
