It feels good to find out that Deion Sanders and Colorado Buffaloes are not only about their Mission JuJu. Yes, lately, they are devoting so much time and effort to land the 5-star QB commit Julian Lewis, that it’s hard for them to focus on other things. But we often forget the man who is at the helm. After all, it’s Deion Sanders.

The Buffs HC’s risk yet paid off well now that the 5-star defensive lineman recruit whom Colorado flipped from UCF Knights a few days back grabbed a big prize. Now will this leave Lewis with a FOMO to join hands with the Buffs? Well, his IG activity is already hinting at something positive.

Deion Sanders’ recruiting magic works again

The Buffs are making some strategic shakeups in their roster, reeling in fresh talent. Looks like they are reaping the fruits of their efforts. Their latest victory came with wooing the highly regarded defensive lineman Christian Hudson from Florida. But do you know it was no easy job? Since he had given his words to Gus Malzahn. Looks like, the Knights HC might be in a sour mood knowing how Deion landed a gem. On October 11, Hudson posted an IG story that might leave Coach Prime dancing in elation.

Looking all dapper with the iconic chunky chain just like the Sanders do, Hudson was spotted holding an award. The caption said it all, “2024 Defensive Player of the Year 🔥🥇.” Well, he deserved the prize. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 290 pounds, Hudson is a versatile athlete and equipped with skills on both sides. And here comes his stats- 72 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. With this, he was able to help Mainland win their first state title since 2003. But what made him flip to Deion’s program?

Hudson stated, “They are definitely building something special up there, and I want to be a part of that.” Will that in any way influence Lewis to get on Deion’s wagon?

How Deion Sanders is moving closer to his JuJu dream?

Going by the recent happenings in the 5-star QB commit’s recruiting trend, things look to be turning in favor of the Buffs. Not to forget that Colorado is not the only program that is running after Lewis. Curt Cignetti and Indiana Hoosiers came off as a tough competitor for Deion’s squad since they came off with an undefeated 9-0 and now 10-0 streak. But who cares? Not Lewis, at least.

On November 7, the Rivals disclosed a big surprise, “Despite previous reports, @AdamGorney has confirmed that 5-star QB Julian Lewis will NOT be visiting Indiana this weekend for its game against Michigan.” Yes, that’s how Deion and the Buffs have cast a magic spell on Lewis that he had closed his doors to Indiana. While Lewis has yet to make the final call, his activities on IG are doing all the talking.

Right after the Colorado Buffaloes win against Texas Tech, the national recruiting analyst Hayes Fawcett posted a screenshot of the 41-27 final score on his IG. Among the numerous likes under the post, one particular name was difficult to ignore “julianlewis10.” Maybe, Julian Lewis can’t wait for the day to celebrate Deion Sanders’ and the Buffs’ victory.
