India have bounced back pretty well in the second ODI against Australia in Rajkot. Opener Shikhar Dhawan, captain Virat Kohli and KL Rahul performed beautifully with the bat. However, another opener Rohit Sharma failed to impress so far.
On the other hand, he got injured while fielding. Rohit, running from sweeper cover made a great effort and was seen in pain and failed to throw the ball as well. He also left out of the field with the physio Nitin Patel and Kedar Jadhav took his place in the middle.
His injury certainly brought tension in everyone as Rohit Sharma is one of the best players not only in India but also in the world cricket. He has the ability to turn the table single-handedly. His injury could be a trouble for India as well. However, in the post-match presentation, Kohli said Rohit fell on his dislocated left shoulder but there is no long-term injury.

“I asked Rohit briefly just now,” Kohli said in the post-match presentation ceremony. “It’s that left shoulder which has popped out a few times. There’s no tear, nothing serious there. So hopefully he gets back for the next game.”
While a team spokesperson later said Rohit is being assessed by the team physiotherapist. Moreover, the team management will take the final call before the 3rd ODI on Sunday at Bengaluru. However, India have already got a big blow with Rishabh Pant’s concussion who did not play in the second game.
