“It’s Time To End”: Simona Halep Calls Off Her Successful League With Coach Darren Cahill

Romanian tennis star Simona Halep has been on the Tour for a considerable amount of time. In her career so far, she has managed to win two Grand Slam titles. She has won the Wimbledon Championships as well as the French Open.
Today, there was a development with regard to Simona Halep. The Romanian athlete has decided to part ways with her coach Darren Cahill. Together, they were a team for six years and have enjoyed tremendous success. She put up an emotional post on social media highlighting his importance in her life.
The two-time Grand Slam winner stated, “After six wonderful years working together, Darren Cahill and I have decided that it’s time to end our working relationship. Thank you D for everything, for making me a better tennis player and a better person.”

Simona Halep skipped two important events this season
Speaking on the current season, Halep began competing in Melbourne and came as far as the quarterfinal at the Australian Open. However, her journey was cut short by 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams. After that, she was seen in Miami but had to withdraw from the event due to a right shoulder injury. The injury was severe as she had to withdraw herself from the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships.

She was seen back on the Tour once the tennis shifted to the North American region. She competed in Montreal and Cincinnati but was unable to go deep into the events. At the US Open, she lost in the fourth round to Elina Svitolina.
