Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev was shocked by Frenchman Jeremy Chardy at the Paris Masters 2019. Medvedev took the opening set 6-4, before Chardy retaliated with a 6-2 win in the second set.

Chardy would then delight the Parisian crowd by taking the final set 6-4 to knock out the 23-year old in the second round. Daniil Medvedev got a bye in the first found before locking horns with the Frenchman.
