During an interview, Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Raikkonen spilled some secrets about himself in Formula One. The Finnish veteran revealed that he once spent 16 days drunk between Grands Prix. This was back in 2013 when he was still driving for the Lotus F1 team and between the Bahrain GP and Spanish GP weekends

As it turned out, Kimi Raikkonen spent over two weeks partying with his fellow team members. In their defence, the team and the Finn had a reason to celebrate, namely, finishing in the top two at three of the first four races of the season.

However, Raikkonen proved that even if he could drink like a fish, his form was in no way, affected by the partying. In other words, when in Barcelona, he got serious and was back on the podium again, with a 2nd place

Speaking in an interview with Motorsport.com Italy about his new book, Raikkonen was quite candid. He was asked about the 16 days of drunkenness, and what he remembers of it, and he admitted: “In fact, I couldn’t (remember it). Most of the others had to remember me. We went around Europe and had fun, it wasn’t the first time and it was normal for us.”

“But there’s nothing wrong with this thing. Where is the story not to tell? There is nothing wrong with it. It was almost normal and it often happened. The chapter of the book does not tell the only time I did such a thing, it amused me.”

Fast-forward to the 2019 season, Kimi Raikkonen is racing for the Alfa Romeo team and is continuing to deliver the results. The 39-year old is battling hard to be the best of the rest and he seems to be doing a mighty fine job of it. As of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Raikkonen lies in 8th in the championship
