Before the British Grand Prix got underway, many expected it to be a bore-fest and a Mercedes domination. However, although Mercedes secured a 1-2, it was far from boring, with action at the front and in the midfield. While most of cameras were focused on the Mercedes battle until the Safety Car ruined it, and the Ferrari vs Red Bull squabble, there was another battle brewing. Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris were going hammer and tongs for a long time.

The McLaren and the Renault, had an epic showdown with neither driver giving an inch. Initially, Daniel Ricciardo was behind Norris at the start and managed to get alongside the McLaren. However, the Australian was unable to shake off the pesky McLaren and they stayed side-by-side for a very long time. In fact, they were even wheel-to-wheel at the Copse, Maggotts and Becketts complex. Honestly speaking, it takes a special kind of bravery to enter that complex and come out alive.

Having said that, Lando Norris eventually won that little battle, but Daniel Ricciardo won the war. The Australian eventually finished 7th behind the other McLaren of Carlos Sainz, while Norris was 11th.

Later on Twitter, Lando Norris wanted revenge and the title of Formula One’s funniest driver.

Not to be outdone, Daniel Ricciardo countered with another gem to try and retain the crown.
