Red Bull driver Max Verstappen delighted the fans when he seized victory at the Austrian Grand Prix. Behind him were Charles LeClerc and Valtteri Bottas, completing the podium. Verstappen’s win was extremely hard-fought as he duelled with Charles LeClerc, who had been leading most of the race.

When the race began, the Dutchman got a horrific start and was swallowed up by the pack. Some of the big winners at the start were, Kimi Raikkonen and Lando Norris. The Alfa Romeo driver and the McLaren driver made terrific starts and were up among the leaders briefly.

In the end, Norris finished the race in a fine 6th place and 8 points in the bag. After the race, Max Verstappen was talking to Dutch TV Ziggo Sport, when Norris interrupted him. The young British rookie poked the Dutchman and claimed that he gave Max Verstappen a tow. That ‘tow’ on the last lap seemingly ‘helped’ Max Verstappen go even faster and guided him to the win.

Speaking about his race, Norris said, “It was a fun race! A good start, managed to go forwards and battled the Mercedes and the Ferrari for a lap or so, but had to concede those positions and think of my own race.”

“The Alfa got past me on the first lap, around the outside at turn 4,” he continued. “Not much I could’ve done and dropped back to fourth and then fifth, then had Max behind me for a little bit.”

“I saved my tyres for the first few laps, had it under control then pushed and did what I needed to do,” he said. “I was just doing what I had to do in terms of saving the tyres and not taking any risks.”
