Lewis Hamilton Berates Engineer for ‘Coaching’

Lewis Hamilton

During the practice session of the Chinese Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was on a run when his engineer radioed him. Engineer Pete Bonnington advised Lewis Hamilton about his entry into Turn 12 but the Briton cut him off.

Hamilton said, “No more coaching, Bono”. It seemed that the 5-time World Champion was not in the mood to be told what to do.

He later went on to finish 2nd behind Sebastian Vettel in FP1 and ahead of Charles LeClerc. Meanwhile, teammate Valtteri Bottas was 5th behind Max Verstappen in the Red Bull.

The rest of the top 10 consisted of Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, Daniil Kvyat, Lance Stroll and Romain Grosjean.
