Thus, Messi would hope to break his duck and score a goal. Although he scored three goals in the Champions League, Messi has not started strongly. Thus, he may have wanted to start afresh as he has shaved his beard as he returned to training. Thus, his new look would be significant for him to get his first league goal for PSG.

Lionel Messi shaves his beard as he looks for first league goal

During his last years at Barcelona, Messi had a beard on, as many fans thought it had slowed him down. Yes. Truly the ability of a soccer player is considered to be related to his beard!

Moving away from that, he is the best player in the world for the past decade or so. Although Cristiano Ronaldo has been competitive in challenging him for individual awards, Messi’s game is much more than that. Despite scoring three goals in the Champions League matches, Messi has not scored in the French League. Thus, his clean-shaven look might bring back memories of his stint with Barcelona.

“Messi’s problem, if we can speak of a problem, is that he’s a human being. He has emotions. He has lifestyle habits. For more than twenty years, he was in his element, in Barcelona. And there, we take him, we put him in another environment and we say to him: ‘Go ahead, perform.’ But he changed his life. His family has changed their life.”

“We must give him time to adapt, even if his name is Messi,” said Cisse.
