The Austrian Grand Prix was undoubtedly one of the most exciting races on the 2019 calendar. Now, for a certain Max Verstappen fan, things have become even sweeter as he has won a dream VIP trip to the United States GP. The fan successfully predicted various outcomes for the recently concluded race, including Verstappen’s win.
The lucky winner is 22-year old Bart Altenburg hailing from Verstappen’s country, the Netherlands. Altenburg beat the odds of 100,000 to 1 to record a perfect score of 10 out of 10 predictions in an F1 Play prediction game.
The Max Verstappen fan nailed the in-race outcomes ranging from the podium finishers in the correct order, all 20 cars reaching the chequered flag, the winning margin and the fastest lap setter, among many others. The odds of all 20 cars crossing the finish line was a rarity in itself as it has only occurred on eight occasions.
Altenburg’s grand prize is him and a friend flying down to Austin, Texas in November. Once there, he will enjoy a dream weekend of F1 racing, complete with VIP Paddock Club Passes. The VIP passes grants him access to Prime Viewing, Paddock Tours and Pit Lane access, in addition to fine dining throughout the weekend.
“I’m so happy to hear that I’m the first ever winner of the F1 play game!” said an ecstatic Bart. “The Austrian GP was one of the best and also the most exciting F1 races I think I ever watched!
“Max Verstappen winning like that was amazing, I must admit my hands were shaking and I might have had a little tear in the corner of my eye when he passed Charles Leclerc.
“I sort of feel like I’m Charlie and I found a golden ticket.”
Who knows, maybe Bart may even get a chance to meet his number one driver, Max Verstappen.
