Mercedes recently wrapped up the drivers and constructors championships with two races to go. Following the US Grand Prix, the entire team gathered at the factory in Brackley to celebrate. However, during the team photograph, team principal Toto Wolff got a little bit muddled up.

Apparently, the instruction was to cheer and have no hand movements and no using the fingers. Unfortunately, it seemed that Wolff was not paying attention, and he immediately held up six fingers. This evoked a round of laughter from the team and the drivers as well. It was also worth mentioning that the punishment for not following the instructions was having their face photoshopped out.

Soon, his wife, Susie Wolff also got in on the act to tease her significant other. Regardless, she was delighted to see the team clinch both world championships for the sixth time.

Now, the Mercedes team will be heading to the Brazilian Grand Prix 2019 this weekend. Meanwhile, Susie Wolff will be on the other side of the globe, at Ad Diriyah to be precise, for the start of the Formula E season. Susie is the team principal of the Venturi Formula E team and will be eager to see her drivers, Felipe Massa and Edoardo Mortara, succeed.

However, Toto Wolff will not be present in Brazil this weekend with Mercedes, the first time since 2013, that he has been absent. Speaking about his decision not to travel to Brazil, he said, “With both championships secured, it gives me more time in Europe to focus on other open topics.”

“It’s great to be able to do this and to know that the team will represent the three-pointed star in the best way possible both on and off the track.”

With Mercedes also sticking a finger into the Formula E pie, one has to wonder if Wolff will be present at a couple of races in order to keep tabs on the team.
