In terms of the weather conditions for the Mexican Grand Prix 2019 weekend, things are going to be tricky. As it turns out, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms expected throughout the weekend.

In terms of winning the race, Red Bull have won the last two editions of the Mexican Grand Prix. So, they will be the favourites to win once again, especially Max Verstappen, who took top honours both times.

With regard to the tyre allocation for the Mexican Grand Prix 2019, the Renaults, Red Bulls, Williams and the Haas teams opted for 9 sets of soft tyres. Meanwhile, McLaren, Racing Point and Alfa Romeo are electing to run 8 sets of softs, with the remaining teams on 7 sets each.

On the medium tyre allocation, the Ferraris, Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly stocked up on 5 sets of tyres, the most out of anybody. Valtteri Bottas, Antonio Giovinazzi and Daniil Kvyat will be running 4 sets of yellow-walled tyres. The Red Bull, Racing Points, Haas, McLaren, Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Hulkenberg and George Russell are on three each. Finally, Daniel Ricciardo and Robert Kubica are the only ones on 2 sets of mediums.

On the prime tyres, the two Racing Point cars, McLarens, Kimi Raikkonen, Valtteri Bottas, Ricciardo, Daniil, Kvyat and Robert Kubica have two sets to play with. The rest of the pack have to make do with one set of medium tyres. However, with the threat of rain, it could bring out an interesting mix of strategies
