According to various sources, Formula One legend, Michael Schumacher has been spotted spending time at his Majorcan villa. This is likely the first time he has been seen in public since his accident back in December 2013.

Michael’s health has been one of the most closely guarded secrets in F1 due to his need for privacy. Whatever updates that the family provide, have been few and far in-between. This has likely prompted plenty of speculation and guesswork.

It was believed that he spends most of his time in his home in Switzerland, however, new evidence disputes that. According to the Mirror, he has been spending time in Spain, at his villa, which is worth £26 million.

It transpired that neighbours made the revelation to German magazine, Bunte. The villa, previously owned by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, consists of two swimming pools, a large garden, a helipad and picturesque views of the sea.

Bunte went on to say that the family spent the festive period and their winter holiday at the property. Michael Schumacher even celebrated his 50th birthday at the villa, surrounded by close family and even medical staff.

It is unknown if the family will be permanent residents at the property, but some sources claim that they are no longer in Spain. The German ‘Weltmeister’ is best known for winning 7 championships, a record in Formula One. Five of those championships came back-to-back with Scuderia Ferrari.

Till date, he remains as one of the most successful Ferrari drivers and his successors at the team have tried their best to emulate him. However, maybe a couple of years down the line, the Schumacher name will appear in Formula One once again. But this time, it will be his son, Mick Schumacher behind the wheel.
