That’s a picture from the 1990s! Or is it? Chase Field welcomed a VIP in the stands as the Arizona Diamondbacks battled against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night. A legendary sport himself, this 6’6” star wowed the viewers with his ‘camcorder-cameo’, giving NLCS a vibrant ‘Old tech alert’.
The Phoenix Suns ace brought with him an old-school camcorder, calling back the pre-mobile phone days. While he played out his little stunt, he was filmed, filming. A couple of victories would send the Arizona Diamondbacks to their first World Series since 2001. With that, on Friday night, Chase Field hosted Game 4, drawing a number of well-known athletes. One among them was the Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker. He adorned a beanie and wore a chain over his black jacket along with his camcorder (of course!). Doesn’t that remind one of something?

As he prepares to begin the 2023–24 NBA season, his appearance in Arizona prompted the Diamondbacks’ official Twitter account to request him for the footage. That said, with a 6-5 victory, the Diamondbacks evened the series at two games each.
