Alex Rodriguez might not be the greatest player to play the game of baseball. But when it comes down to popularity and net worth, the New York Yankees legend, is in a league of his own.

Having played baseball for over two decades, A-Rod owned the game with sheer consistency. But unlike every other athlete, he did something different to grow his brand after getting retired from MLB. Usually, when an athlete retires, they go passive in their post-retirement career.

But that was not even an option for the Yankees legend. Even when he was playing, A-Rod kept investing his money in real estate and several sporting ventures, which eventually helped him grow his brand post retirement. Once, when asked about it, he gave some advice to young athletes for their post-retirement careers.

Alex Rodriguez wants every athlete to think about their next move before leaving the game

Dating back to 2018, Alex Rodriguez, along with the NBA legend, Charles Barkley, made an appearance on Saturday Night Live. Although it was a comedy show, where A-Rod and Barkley roasted each other over which sport was superior, the Yankee ended up giving a piece of golden advice to young athletes.

Yes! When the SNL host asked him about the same towards the end of the video, the former Yankee had the best answer. He suggested young athletes to use their name and fame and make more money, such as by doing endorsements.
