The New York Yankees are in a mess this season. Even after spending around $300 million in wages, the team has failed to ignite the core best and lags behind in the race for playoffs. Everyone thought that Aaron Judge‘s absence was the reason for their fall. It seems the reasoning was partially right. Even after Judge joined the squad, things have not changed for the team, and continue to lose relevance with each passing day.

It has been tough for the Yankees fans, who expected the team to do a better job. A wave of criticism followed the team after each failure. It increased as the fans looked for answers from players. But with all the negativity around, the players finally decided to share their side of the story. When they encountered a heartfelt message of support, they resonated with it and responded.

New York Yankees stars respond to the “now they need us” call

In the time of adversity, everyone needs support to overcome it. The same is true for the New York Yankees players as they battle their worst season since 1992. When a fan showed support, players, including Oswaldo Cabrera and Gleyber Torres, responded positively to it. A die-hard Yankees fan shared a compilation of their responses with a message in his Tweet.

It read,” Like I said if we can rally round and show these guys we have their backs still and we support them it might just give them a lift So much negativity right now maybe some fans rallying behind them in a positive way could help ignite this team a bit It’s now they need us.”

The positive message followed Captain Aaron Judge’s call. Even after the team had another shutout game, The Judge looked calm and shared his faith in the team being able to recover from it. He shared, “We’re just a couple streaks away from being right where we want to be.”

But it seems there is a difference of opinion among fans. Though many agreed with the message of support, the majority are not comfortable backing this idea.

Fans give a mixed response to backing the Yankees

The Pinstripes have struggled badly this season. It has brought painful nights for the fans, who were hoping for a better season. Because of it, the trust in the team has faded away.
