Aaron Judge’s Latest New York Yankees Record Proves the Toronto Blue Jays Are His Favorite Opponents

After overcoming injury and cheating allegations, New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge is slowly coming back to his original form that broke the AL home run record last year. Judge, with his performances, is letting the baseball world know, that the Toronto Blue Jays are his favorite opponent in the league. 

It was the Jays against whom Judge broke the AL home runs record set by the legendary Roger Maris. The Middle of the season is nearing, and the Yankees captain has already hit 12 home runs. The number might look low right now, but looking at his arc last season, it’s safe to assume that the number of home runs is bound to go up. With this 12th homer of the season, Judge has broken yet another record. 

What record did Aaron Judge break this time?

While looking at the New York Yankees’ franchise history, until now, 4x World Series Champ Jorge Posada held the record for most home runs against the Toronto Blue Jays. In 186 games against the Jays, Posada had hit 31 home runs in his seventeen-year-long career wearing pinstripes.

By hitting his 12th homer of the season and career 232 home run, however, All Rise Aaron Judge has broken this record. In less than a year, Judge has now broken two monumental records playing against the Toronto Blue Jays. 

Notably, moments after this impressive statistic came to light, his fans on Twitter expressed admiration and support for the Yank.

Pulling off this statistic has given the Yankees fans hope about their team’s future in the league. It is because, out of the 46 games that the Yanks have played until now, they’ve lost 20 of them. Considering how big of a team the Yankees are, and the reputation they had held over the years, a number like this is an all-time low. A ray of hope has emerged in the Yankees’ fans’ lives, with Judge breaking this record against the Jays.
