That’s not it. Volpe further declared, “He’s just so energetic and it seeps to everyone super-organically.”  These aren’t just words, in fact, Manager Aaron Boone echoed the sentiment,  praising Verdugo’s positive influence. 

Boone shared, “The guys love him in there [and] I think he loves it. We’re seeing the kind of player he is. He’s been a spark. He’s been excellent. He’s been clutch. And he definitely brings a little edge.” After all, visibly, Verdugo’s energy has been infectious and it is bringing about the impact that the club really needs. The 27-year-old also acknowledged it.

Verdugo, too, confirmed that he is happy with his new team. He shared, “I love it. I couldn’t be happier here.” This positive attitude readily translates to his performance on the field. While he seems to relish batting cleanup, he is nestled between the towering figures of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Despite that, his performance has been dominant and the MLB folks see it.
