The first game of the series between the Minnesota Twins and the Toronto Blue Jays was an exciting affair. The Blue Jays won the contest that saw everything from brilliant hitting to some excellent fielding. One such moment from the game, which caught the attention of the fans, was a double play from Carlos Correa. It is to be noted that the same Correa was questioned by MLB fans when he was injured only a few days ago. But his performance has answered everyone’s concern regarding his injury.

Even though Correa could not deliver with the bat, he did well with his fielding. During the first innings of the game, the Twins shortstop showed his game awareness to get out George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The MLB fans also reacted to the incident.

Carlos Correa put up a great show with his fielding

Correa showed his sharpness during the third innings. Talkin? Baseball shared the clip of the same incident from the game. The caption read, “Carlos Correa with a heads up double play to nab George Springer and Vladdy!”

The TV announcer commented during the incident, “Correa now has the runner hung up between 3rd and home makes the tag, and Guerrero is doubled off the first, expertly played by the veteran shortstop. “Meanwhile, the Blue Jays did the comeback in the third innings of the game to win it 3-1. It was a Bo Bichette show who belted a home run and had two RBIs to his name during the game. He finished the contest with an average of 0.500 and an OPS of 1.750.

Bo’s teammate, Kevin Gausman, did the rest on the mound. He pitched in 5.1 innings and claimed eight strikeouts with an ERA of 3.03. Alex Kirilloff of the Twins did score a single run, but it was not enough for the win. With this win, the Blue Jays have broken their losing run. Even though the Blue Jays won the game, fans were still not happy with the casual play from two-star players.
