If there is one team that has been the most problematic for the opponents this season, they are the New York Mets. When the 2022 regular season started, almost no one expected them as a title contender. But here they are! Veteran players like Max Scherzer, Jacob deGrom, and even Pete Alonso have risen on the occasion for the Mets.

Despite being in one of the toughest divisions, the Buck Showalter-led team has done wonders this season. However, this team has also suffered the most from injuries or ejection of players.

Earlier on Sunday, when the Mets were playing against the Miami Marlins, controversial umpire Angel Hernandez ejected the Mets ace, Max Scherzer, from the bench. And this is the second instance when Scherzer got ejected from the bench this season.

Max Scherzer was furious with umpire Angel Hernandez over his harsh decision

Per Newsday.com, in a dominating 9-3 win over the Marlins, Max Scherzer expressed his anger from the dugout over an umpiring call that the Mets skipper Showalter did not like. And he got so furious that the on-field umpire Angel Hernandez ejected him from the bench.

Notably, Scherzer got ejected from the bench for the second time this season. Earlier in May, the Mets ace argued on behalf of his teammate Dominic Smith and faced ejection. Not to forget that Scherzer was not playing that day, either.
