Did the Houston Astros just fall apart? Looks like what happened on Monday in Minute Maid Park was nothing short of a fiasco against the Texas Rangers. While Houston is not foreign to the ALCS hype and force, Texas is relatively new. Despite that, the postseason narrates a different story. 

Knowing that the Rangers are hitting back hard to stay in till the end, the New York fans are deciding which way to incline. Texas Rangers have not been subtle about showing their might in 2023, be it the regular season or postseason. With that, the Yankees supporters pledge loyalty to the seemingly dominant team at the moment. 

Which Side Are The Yankees Fans Leaning?

A couple of recent tweets from @Jomboy_ and @DarthEnvy sum up the general emotion that prevails after the 4-5 loss to the Texas Rangers. This has led the Yankees fans to pick a favorite between the two. Jomboy even warned Houston, drawing comparisons to the Yankees who were swept by the Astros in 2022, putting up an embarrassing show the following year. Today, the Astros find themselves approaching a similar situation. This warning for 2024 might go a long way. 

Texas’ starter Jordan Montgomery topped Justin Verlander in Game 1 to grab a 1-0 lead in the series. With Framber Valdez starting for Houston in Game 2, the team was hoping for a comeback. Those aspirations were swiftly dashed as the Rangers broke their playoff club record for most runs scored in the opening frame by scoring four runs in the first inning.

The Astros made a late surge and attempted to get back into the game, but ultimately lost 4-5. The H-Town currently find themselves behind in the series by a margin of two games. With that, the Yankees faithful feel more power in leaning toward the Rangers.

Fans Had To Say A Lot About Supporting Texas Rangers

With the discussion about the Lone Star Battle not subsiding, the Texas Rangers might have just gathered some extra supporters. Twitter was flushed with the back-and-forth of the postseason hullabaloo. 

@DarthEnvy put up a tweet asking if the Yankees fans were in support of the Rangers. 

Some fans found it obvious that they were rooting for the Rangers. 

Some fans went on to give who they’re going to support apart from Rangers too.

A few fans particularly rooted for Jordan Montgomery, hoping he gets the “ring”.

Amid warnings from Houston, some supporters stood by the Astros pushing them to “keep on keeping on!”

Now that it the results are out in the open, one can’t help but speculate. This post season gets more and more interesting by the day.
