New York Yankees have been one of the busiest teams this off-season. Following a fantastic 2022 regular season, the Yankees made it all the way to the ALCS in the postseason. But they were knocked out of the playoffs by the eventual champions, the Houston Astros. The off-season has been a race for the Yankees, as they had a lot of things that they needed to improve.

But the biggest deal that they have got done so far is signing Aaron Judge to a 9-year $360 million deal. The Bronx Bombers have made other key signings as well, but there are still holes that need to be filled. According to reports, the Yankees have made another signing this off-season, and it looks to be one for the future.

The New York Yankees have signed outfield prospect Brandon Mayea

According to the latest reports, the New York Yankees have signed young outfield prospect Brandon Mayea to a deal. Twitter account Farm To Fame reported the deal in a recent Tweet. In it, they mentioned the Pinstripes had signed the Cuban prospect for $4.4 million. Notably, the 17-year-old is ranked as the 9th-best international prospect in the world.

In the Tweet, Farm To Fame said, “Yankees sign No. 9 ranked international prospect, OF Brandon Mayea! The 17-year-old from Havana, Cuba agrees to a $4.4M deal”. This looks to be a good deal for the Yankees as they continue to sign layers this offseason.

Many reporters consider this to be a fantastic deal, as Mayea has shown a lot of promise at such a young age. Furthermore, this is not the last we will see of the Yankees, as they are certain to sign more players soon.

Brandon Mayea is a real steal for the Yankees

Mayea could be a special talent and many consider him a real gem of a signing. According to MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez, “Mayea has uncommon bat speed and power. One evaluator described him as a “mini Gary Sheffield,” while others praised his advanced approach at the plate. He’s very aggressive in the batter’s box, and he’s getting a better understanding of the strike zone.”
