Former San Francisco Giants Legend Barry Bonds has always been a center of controversy. Much of it is because of his multifaceted personality. A kind-hearted and gracious person before and the moment later a fierce one, who speaks his mind without fear. Although the former trait got a brief mention, but the latter trait brought him into direct conflict with his teammates, managers, and fans. A similar case took place when Bonds was playing for the San Francisco.

When Angry Barry Bonds Went Against the Critical Fans
In the sports domain, not every day is the same for any athlete. And with every different day comes new challenges, criticism, and failures. The trust and love fans possess for the game and its stars are open to criticism. And the same happened with Bonds when mistakes took over his talent, and the criticism followed. But unlike others, Bonds before overcoming, never shied away from reverting to a similar tone.
On page 50, Author John Bloom described one such incident: “During a game in early June, Bonds failed to chase after a fly ball that was hit in his direction, thinking that the ball was a sure home run. This came shortly after Bonds failed to run out a fly ball that he had hit.”
It made fans criticize him while pointing out mistakes. It angered Bonds, who gave a hostile response, “I don’t care what they [the fans] think. They don’t know what’s going on. They don’t bother me. If they can do better, bring their [b*tt] out there and do it.”
This received widespread criticism from the fans and the entire baseball community. This episode created a boycott-like situation. Though Bonds asked forgiveness for his uncontrolled comments, it was too less.
But this was not the only case when Bonds’ words pulled him into controversy. He once angered Pirates veteran with his rapid answer.
Bonds Answer Angered Veteran Don Robinson
Bonds once angered a star player with his reply indicating his superiority, even after being a newcomer. It happened when Don Robinson invited a few teammates for drinks. He wanted to offer all the cost, but Bonds angered him and the legend thought of keeping Bonds away.
Though it was years back of the Giants’ episode, it displayed another case of Bonds’ controversial nature.
