After a great start to the 2022 season, the LA Angels have failed to capitalize on their lead in the American League West. With a recent defeat against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Angels have lost their 10th consecutive game this season.
The reason the Angels are on a losing streak is their dependency on certain players to perform. Currently, neither Mike Trout nor Shohei Ohtani are in great form. And it has directly affected the Angels’ performance in the last few games.

After losing a three-game series to the New York Yankees, the Joe Maddon-led team has also lost the ongoing three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. And if the Angels do not get a win in the next game, then they will match their worst losing streak of the 2016 season.
Joe Maddon has no clue why the LA Angels are losing
With a reigning MVP, Shohei Ohtani, and a three-time MVP, Mike trout, by their side, the LA Angels are struggling for a win right now. Trout is also on his career-worst hitless streak, 0-for-23, while Ohtani has failed from both ends for the Angels.
Apart from these two, the Angels do not have a serial game-winner in their squad. After losing the 10th game, the Angels’ manager, Joe Maddon, said that he cannot figure out where they have been wrong in their strategy. He admitted the mistakes.
