The MLB draft nights are the most awaited ones in every baseball player’s life. It decides their career, and a perfect start to it is what they all need. The New York Yankees player, Carlos Rodon had one such opening. The star pitcher made it to the Chicago White Sox squad and won over his wife with a karaoke performance of a Taylor Swift song.

Recently, she reflected on the years-old incident that decided her husband’s future back then. The MLB world has its eyes on Rodon, who missed the entire first half because of the injury. The latest post gave them, especially the Yankees fanbase, to react as they joined the conversation with their thoughts.

MLB Draft Night and Rodon’s Karaoke

Carlos Rodon had a great start to his MLB career. But more interesting is the Karaoke performance that Rodon’s wife, Ashley, pointed out. It was also years back before Rodon married Ashley in 2018. She shared it on Twitter with the caption, “I will never stop posting this on draft night. Makes me laugh every time…”

Notably, it is Rodon’s introduction video for the MLB draft nights. It dates back to 2011 when he played for Holly Springs High School and was in the 26th round of the MLB draft. In the video, Rodon jams to one of Taylor Swift’s songs, Welcome to New York, and syncs with his current time in the Bronx.

Interestingly, this video came a day after the New York manager Aaron Boone added to Taylor Swift’s fanboy conversation.

Baseball enthusiasts expected Rodon to play since the beginning of the season, but the injuries held him back. Though he retained his fitness, things still need to look good for the $162 million player.
