Chris Young shares his experience off the field as an example for upcoming players!

Young focused on the opportunities players can choose from to make a livelihood. He shared this in his latest conversation with other analysts. Players’ Alliance shared the clip on Instagram.

Young stated that addressing the lack of knowledge and awareness among the trainers is not helping the cause. He said that most of the players don’t know about the opportunities beyond the game, and this is the area they can work on. He said, “Everybody’s not going to be a ball player, but there are so many opportunities within the game that young kids just don’t know exist. I mean, that’s something where we come in, and we help expose them to all these other avenues that you can be still within the game.” Young was also joined by legends of the game Ken Griffey Jr and Pedro Martinez.

Young also shared that most players, especially young players, follow their parents as idols and learn from them. He focused that this is the area where the role of the parties involved becomes bigger.

Young said, “So I just think our younger generation is not exposed to all the different avenues and all the different ways, and opportunities that the game can offer, which is a thing what, Players Alliance is working towards and what Mlb Is working towards as well.

Young has a successful career on and off the field!

Chris Young had a great MLB career. He played for over a decade, notching up 590 RBIs, averaging 0.235 during this period. Young finished his playing career with 191 home runs and an OPS of 0.742. 2010 All-star team member is currently working as MLB Network on-air analyst. The 40-year-old also holds a business administration degree after graduating last year. It will be interesting to see how his experience helps the budding players in the future.
