And now when he has already equaled decades-old Roger Maris’ (61) home run record, the late Yankee’s son, Roger Maris Jr; took a dig at the other MLB legends like Barry Bonds, and Mark McGwire, who have already smashed over 70 home runs in a season in their professional careers.

Roger Maris Jr. backs Aaron Judge to be the new home run king
It is no secret that Barry Bonds, and Mark McGwire, allegedly used PEDs (performance-enhancing drugs) to achieve home run records. Currently, the SF Giants legend, Barry Bonds, holds the single-season home run record with 72 HRs in a season. However, Maris Jr. does not consider it an actual record.
Instead, he wants Aaron Judge to hit his 62nd home run and become the real home run champ in MLB. Taking to Twitter, Maris Jr. also quoted his father’s words and said only clean records matter in baseball.
